Travelling Care

Companionship and support, so the journey is part of the pleasure.

What it is

Travelling care provides a companion or carer to accompany your loved one on a trip — a holiday, a family wedding, a visit to relatives, a stay at a second home. The carer manages the practical side of the journey and continues to provide the daily support your loved one needs, allowing the family to enjoy time together rather than worry about logistics.

Who it is for

Travelling care suits older people who would love to travel but no longer feel confident doing so alone, or whose mobility or health needs make solo travel impractical. It is also useful for families who want to take a parent on a trip but cannot personally provide the full level of support required.

What a travelling carer might help with

  • Travel logistics — airports, stations, taxis, luggage, documents
  • Daily personal care and medication, on the road
  • Companionship through long journeys
  • Support in unfamiliar accommodation
  • Excursions, meals out, and gentle activity
  • Communication with family during the trip

How to begin

Call us on 07894 649 565 with the destination, dates, and a little about your loved one’s needs. We will match you with a carer who is comfortable travelling, has the right experience for the level of support required, and — ideally — has visited or knows the area you are heading to.

Where we travel

Travelling care is available for journeys within the UK and internationally. We arrange UK trips within a week or so; international trips need a little more notice to plan properly. The carer’s travel and accommodation costs are agreed in advance and met by the family.
